How well are you using social proof? 

First, what is social proof?

Social proof (or informational social influence) is a psychological and social phenomenon wherein people copy the actions of others in choosing how to behave in a given situation.

I would argue, social proof should be used in almost every part of your marketing and sales. 

Is TACK perfect at using social proof? No, we're doing an average job at best at it. And that needs to change. So don't fret if you think you could be doing better. 

Here's a starting list of places you should be using social proof.

  • Website
  • Content assets
  • Social media
  • One-pagers
  • Product collateral 
  • Customer education
  • Lead nurture flows
  • Sales sequences
  • At events
  • Newsletter
  • Pretty much anyplace where the context makes sense

How do you make it something you don't overlook?

Make it part of your editing and review your process/checklist for anything that's created and make it a principle of how you go-to-market. 

Even better, create a customer swipe file containing all social proof.
