Websites to Memberships

Will websites ever go away? Maybe, but probably not for a very long time.

But the utility of websites have/is changing.

Websites are not personal.

They don't create any real connection between a person and the brand, and definitely not between two or more people.

Sure, websites are your digital store, but the actual value of a website to a buyer and customer isn't that great.

What I think needs to happen is websites need to evolve so they deliver a different experience in the form of a membership.

What's a membership? The definition is: 'the fact of being a member of a group.'

When you visit a website you're flying solo. When you become a member, you gain a bit of identity and meaning. You start connecting and learning with and from other people.

The experience becomes more rich. More human. More people-first.

I think websites will be made more for agents in the future. Where memberships will be made for humans.
