Video Production Tiers

Super simple tip today. Don’t over produce your videos.

A four tier strategy works well.

Tier One: raw, authentic, iPhone style videos with minimal editing. Think YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn clips

Tier Two: decent camera and mic with some AI-assisted editing. Think podcasts, webinars, bigger virtual events.

Tier Three: Good camera, great audio with human assisted editing and some preproduction. Think product explainer videos, YouTube video series, on-demand courses, etc.

Tier Four: Multiple cameras and mics, multiple angles, lots of pre and post production. Think what is X videos, big launch video, videos played at in-person events, etc.

80-90% of what you do will probably fall into tier one and two.

The real deal is what makes people feel.
