Teach me, don't sell me. I wish that was the case more in sales. Specifically, teach me things in the context of my situation and my business's situation.
This is how you make sales more people-first and more enjoyable. There's still way too much talking about us and what we do and not enough about what you do and why you do what you do and what you need to be able to do that thing better or easier.
The tip today is to be more helpful when you sell.
Ask more questions, listen more, and have stories and examples ready to go to help you get the person on the other end to understand something new or better.
Deliver value through what you say and share and not through your product. That only comes after the sale is closed.
If your goal is to make the buyer remember you, the seller, then you're doing the right thing.
