Your marketing team is now a sales team. Yep, you heard me right. Just take a look at this stat.
"The importance of the vendor’s sales team is declining. 68% of B2B buyers only involve the vendor’s sales team at the last stage of the buying process.
The marketing team has an even greater responsibility now to act like a salesperson. So how do you be good seller?
Remove friction. Stop gating so much stuff. Especially stuff that isn't uniquely valuable. There's really no point anymore
Use the language of the customer. Speak in their words, not yours.
Lead with passion. The more passion you can infuse into your content, videos, and website. The more people will lean in. Passion starts with people, don't forget that though. Hire wisely.
Show the product. Don't hide it. Make it be seen. Use things like Navattic to help people FEEL it.
Use AI and first party data signals as a way to qualify buyers. Let the buyer tell you when they might be ready to chat.
What would you add to the list?
