Here's a simple idea that I can't believe didn't come to me earlier. 

Offer a compelling lead magnet, aka cornerstone content offer, with your email newsletter. 

I'm going to have Nick make this change ASAP with our T[ACK Insider weekly newsletter](https://www.tackinsider.com/newsletter-signup). 

Here's an example. 

You have a weekly newsletter about the latest trends in your industry.

When someone subscribes, they'll get a comprehensive benchmark study about the things impacting your industry. A report with insights. Plus they'll get your weekly email too.  

You could always rotate the lead magnet and event test different ones to see if one performs better.
