Ideal Creator Profile

ICP usually stands for Ideal Customer Profile. It's a very important piece to any company's go-to-market.

Get it right, and you're cooking with gas. Get it wrong, and you might be headed for a serious heap of trouble.

My co-founder, Nick, published a book this week all about Influencer Marketing, or said another way, partnering with creators to help grow your business.

The key to a successful partnership is matching the ideal customer profile of the company with an ideal creator profile.

Some things I would consider are who are you selling to, titles, level of experience, and problems.

Then using that, determine what a creator profile could look like. Are these creators peers of the ideal customer, are they already influencing your ideal customers as subject matter experts, or are they people who the ideal customers aspire to be.

If they don't fall into one of those categories, I would be weary of partnering with them.

Matching your ideal customer profile and ideal creator profile is how you actually do influencer marketing that creates real value for both your customers and business.
