Customer Impact and Value

Leading with customer value, and associated pain, has been a product marketing best practice for a long time. 

We should be adding another thing to use in messaging, positioning and storytelling. 

Impact.

The impact the purchase directly had on the buyer and/or end-users. What it created for them [impact] and the business [value].

Impact is about the person. Value is delivered to the business. 

Use both.
