A People-first Company

I've been thinking a lot about what it means to operate as a people-first company.

I've been thinking a lot about what it means to operate as a people-first company.

I created this new mental model recently and would love to know what you think about it.

Volume → Value: Less is more. Don't be the loudest or biggest spender. Be the one that adds the most value.

Hacks → Helpful: Stop trying to growth hack your way into growth. Be helpful, be kind and overtime word of mouth will start to really kick in. Long-term thinking vs. short-term thinking.

Third Party → First Party: Use higher quality data. Stop making assumptions with data that might not be true. Focus on delivering value and being helpful, and use content, events, free products and website intent signals to understand your who.

Reach → Resonance: Tell an amazing story. Have a point of view. Design a premise  Focus on the WHO. What will make them feel something and therefore see you.

Handoff → Harmony: Don't think of the revenue funnel as handoffs, Think of it an an integrated journey.

You → United: Don't try to do it alone. It's always better together. Unite both internally and externally. Be a matchmaker.

Which connects with you the most?
